Secret Kubinka

"Provide some insight into post war Russian thinking"
- David Fletcher,
Military Illustrated

This volume features photographs taken by Fraser Gray in hangar 9 at Kubinka, the Russian tank proving ground near Moscow.  The vehicles featured are all prototypes and one-offs, providing clues as to how Russian AFVs were developed.  As such it fills in many gaps between known service types, the missing links.  Most of these vehicles have been scrapped since the photos were taken so these are the only ones readily available in the West today.  The large format photographs allow the reader to see clearly all the detail necessary for converting and detailing available kits.  Richard Stickland's concise, informative accompanying notes detail where, when and how these important AFVs came about.
